MyEID is a secure and reliable solution for strong authentication and digital signing. 

In MyEID, the private keys which secure your identity and data in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) are protected with advanced methods. While a malware could steal a private key stored in your computer or a key logger could steal your password, they cannot extract a private key from a smart card. The private key stays on the card during cryptographic computation, as the computation is done by the smart card microcontroller. A PKI smart card is one of the most secure options to implement strong two-factor authentication, as you can store the card separately from the device you are authenticating, and a PIN is required for using the card.

MyEID is based on international standards. This ensures that MyEID can be flexibly integrated into existing systems whenever required.

MyEID v5.0.0 is certified at Common Criteria evaluation level EAL4+.

This level means that the applet has been methodically designed, tested, and reviewed. EAL4+ ensures the applet has been evaluated against stringent security criteria and provides a high level of protection for demanding use cases.
